Rosemary Rathbone – Flute

Rosemary Rathbone studied the flute with Derek Honner at the Royal Academy of Music, where she was awarded the Purcell prize for her performance of Mozart’s Flute Concerto in D. As a freelance orchestral player she has worked with the Ulster Orchestra, Bournemouth Sinfonietta, the Royal Ballet Sinfonia and the English National Ballet. Rosemary lives and teaches in Canterbury and she can regularly be heard playing in concerts throughout Kent. She performed the Nielsen Flute Concerto with the Oare String Orchestra in September 2003, and more recently traveled to France with the University of Kent Camerata to perform the Fifth Brandenburg Concerto by J S Bach.
