Ellen O’Dell – Violin

Ellen studied at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama (79-83) and took up the Baroque violin after college.  In 1985 she achieved a place on the first European Baroque Orchestra Course, then held in Oxford for 6 months. She plays on a violin made by David Rubio in 1987. It’s a copy of a Stradivarius and was bought from her teacher, the late Micaela Comberti.

Ellen teaches privately and has a lot of adult pupils, she also plays chamber music whenever she can.
